NEA TURNS-OVER 37 MILLION TO DORECO FOR ENERGIZATION

IN a simple ceremony at the main office of the National Electrification Administration (NEA), Administrator Edgardro R. Masongsong, together with members of the NEA Board, turned-over 37Million Pesos to Engineer Gregory A. Dukil, Chief Executive Officer or CEO of the Davao Oriental Electric Cooperative (DORECO) who was accompanied by the DORECO officials and board members.  Witnessing the turn-over is Congressman Mayo Z. Almario, 2nd District of Davao Oriental, who attended the ceremony together with his congressional office staff.  Media personnel Nathaniel Quinones and Raul Antopuesto, both from Davao Oriental, flew in to take part in the ceremony.

According to Administrator Masongsong, NEA’s funding assistance will be utilized by DORECO to energize 27 sitios as well as install electric meters, service drop lines, and home electrical materials and will benefit approximately 1,511 households in the 2nd District of Davao Oriental. The Administrator announced that the funding assistance was made possible through Congressman Almario who worked for the allocation of funds and its immediate release.  Engr. Dukil, on the other hand, thanked NEA and the Congressman for his efforts in bringing electricity to his constituents in the District and further committed that all the 27 sitios as listed by the Congressional Office will be energized or will have electricity in time for Christmas this year.

Congressman Almario, who sits as a member of the powerful Commission on Appointments, said that this was a result of a collective effort.  He thanked Department of Energy Secretary Al Cusi who approved the funding, Administrator Masongsong who facilitated the release, the DORECO for committing to implement the project with dispatch, and his congressional staff for the support.

SUNOD-SUNOD nga pagpahigayon ug area ug seedling inspection, suportado ni Congressman Almario. Gihugtan ang implementasyon sa "Enhanced National Greening Program" pinaagi sa pagsusi sa mga lugar ug pag-andam sa mga kalidad nga klase sa semilya sa Falcatta, Durian, Rambutan, ug Rubber nga maoy itaom sa mga kabukiran nga nahutdan na ug mga punuan sa kahoy.

Ang mga gipahigayong pagsusi nahitabo sa nagkalain-laing lugar sa Distrito Dos sa Davao Oriental ug gipangunahan sa opisina sa CENRO-MATI inubanan sa suporta sa opisina sa 2nd District Congressional Office.

Sumala kay Congressman Almario, suportado niya ang tanang inisyatibo sa pagpananom ug kahoy ug uban pang mga kalihukan nga makapalambo ug makatabang sa pagprotekta sa kinaiyahan. "Kinahanglan nga tutukan ug tagaan ug bili kini nga programa hilabi na nga panahon na sa ting-ulan."
